Paul continues his eschatological teachings concerning the Day of the Lord, a unique time of God’s judgment on the whole earth. And he closes his letter exhorting the Thessalonians to holy living, looking to the Coming of Christ (Rapture).

After Jesus finishes the Passover, He continues to teach His disciples as they go to Gethsemane. He commands them to abide in Him, love one another and to be mindful of the world.
Jesus comforts His disciples as He speaks of His upcoming departure. He promises to prepare dwellings for them, send the Holy Spirit and promises His abiding presence.
Chapter 25 continues Jesus’s warning on being prepared (for the Rapture). He gives two parables to illustrate things concerning this event. First, in the parable of the virgins, the idea is simply to be prepared; but the idea of the talents is a warning to be faithful. Finally, at the end of the chapter, Jesus tells what will happen to the Gentile world (in judgment) when He returns.
